PLAYING & MIXING GUIDES / 01
How to Play Sprunki Retake: Your First Mix
Quick answer
Start the player on this site, tap the game’s own start control, then drag a sound icon onto an available character. Build a simple loop with one rhythm and one contrasting sound before adding more. You do not need music theory to start experimenting.
Start the game and audio
Press Play Sprunki Retake on the homepage. When the embedded game appears, use its start control. The browser may keep audio silent until you interact inside the game. Raise media volume if the stage is running but you cannot hear it.
Loading a game and starting its sound are separate steps. Wait for the sound palette and characters before trying to drag an icon.
Drag a sound onto an available character
The colored icons below the stage are the sound palette. Hold one, move it onto a character and release it. A successful drop changes the character’s appearance and adds that sound to the loop.
On a phone, try landscape orientation first. Keep your finger on the sound icon while moving it; a quick tap and release may not perform a drag. If the page scrolls, begin the gesture inside the game area.
Try a small mixing exercise
Choose one steady rhythmic sound and listen for a full repeating cycle. Add one contrasting sound, such as a sustained tone or voice if available. This is a listening exercise, not a secret unlock sequence.
Ask whether you can still hear the original pulse. If the new layer obscures it, remove or replace that layer using the controls shown in your build. Once the pair works, try a third sound.
Know what restarting changes
Restart reloads the embedded player and discards the current arrangement. Use it for a stuck game, not as a way to preserve a mix. Sound-removal, mute or solo controls can vary, so follow the options actually shown inside your version.
This website does not provide cloud saves or a built-in recording library. If you want to remember a mix, note the character or icon lineup before reloading.
Questions about this guide
Do I need to match a beat at the right moment?
The core activity is arranging looping sounds. Start by listening and dragging icons; this guide does not assume a timed-score mode.
What should happen after a successful drop?
The chosen character should change its appearance and contribute a sound. If neither happens, wait for loading to finish, then try a deliberate drag again.
Can I use this guide on mobile?
Yes. The same sequence applies, but the embedded build and browser determine touch behavior. Read the mobile guide for sound, dragging and screen-size fixes.
